A love affair with wine

Mario Brossoit had been with L’Express since 1981. Every year he visits the vineyards of France and the world, looking for great finds to share with the people back home.

L’Express doesn’t have a wine steward, just wine connoisseurs. 11,000 bottles in the cellar may seem like a lot. But half are currently ageing and 600 of the other half are consumed every week. Most of the wines on the menu or on the card are original: they’re privately imported and therefore quantities are limited.

Mario’s pride is discovering the perfect wines, wines that are “very nice, very good, very affordable.” He’s not about to give up any time soon.
